Major responsibilities
- Establish, implement and monitor accounting standards in all business lines, products and services
- And update the company's financial accounting policy manual
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of new accounting developments and their potential impact on the company's
- Manage periodic, quarterly and annual SEC and bank regulatory submissions
- Monitoring / managing the development of SEC and bank regulatory compliant data
Prepare budgetary plan for changes in accounting policy / practice:
- Assist in the process of disclosure controls and help ease the process of discovering the Committee with principal accounting officer
- Help evaluate SOX disadvantages for companies and facilitate the presentation of SOX on board the same
- Provide a leadership role on the implementation of IFRS conversion and
- Act as a major mediator of Finance with the external auditors
- To help maintain and update the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 processes and monitoring procedures
- Lead in accounting policy development and management accounting topics, which may include, but are not limited to, employee compensation and benefits (including stock-based compensation), SFAS 5 obligations, exchange, lease accounting for derivatives, FAS 140, FAS 141, etc., reporting and presentation of interpretation (such as EPS, cash flow, segments and other publication issues) and other accounting issues relevant
- Develop guidelines for the accounting policies for transactions and activities of the Bank is actively involved with experts in various disciplines (including Business Unit Controller / CFO and accounting staff, front office and control functions, reporting functions, HR, legal and other functions, as appropriate) to understand the company \ 's transactions / activities to provide timely, appropriate policy guidance on the appropriate accounting treatment
- Work with management and accounting staff on an ongoing basis to provide practical advice for implementation in conjunction with the accounting policies
- Analyze the emerging statement accounting for the political implications, and proactively communicate with executive management changes, the Audit Committee and members of the team
- Consult with business groups and corporate governance on accounting issues related to changes in accounting methodology and other issues of accounting, requires clarity and consistency in the delivery of advice
- Coordinate efforts to implement new accounting standards
- Maintain current knowledge of SEC rules and regulations, including disclosure requirements and GAAP / IFRS reporting requirements
Supervisory / Management responsibility
- Management of five person team
- Is responsible for recommending hire / fire / pay action reporting team.
- Acts as advisor to subordinate (s) to schedule and / or resolve technical problems
- Develops and manages the schedule and requirements, may have budget responsibilities
- A coach / mentor staff to enhance professional development and teamwork, and complete performance assessment
- Finance and / or accounting degree, CPA preferred
- 10 plus years of accounting experience in a similar environment, with full knowledge of SEC / bank regulatory rules, regulations, disclosure and GAAP accounting requirements of the technical
- Excellent analytical, project management, interpersonal, organizational, planning, PC, and written / verbal communication skills
- Strong managerial skills
- The possibility of multi-task and meet critical deadlines
- Computer literacy, proficient with using Excel, Word
- Minimum 4 years the big four public accounting experience, audit manager, big four public accounting firm preferred
- The financial services industry experience preferred
